“SHRAMYOG” was registered

In 2011, our non-profit organization was officially registered, marking the establishment of our efforts to make a positive impact in society. The registration was an important step in our journey to achieve our goals and serve the community. It allowed us to legally operate as a non-profit and provided a framework for us to fulfill our mission and bring about meaningful change. The establishment of our NGO in 2011 marked the beginning of an exciting and challenging journey, and we remain dedicated to making a difference.

Exploring the Realities of Rural Life

In our efforts to understand the conditions of rural life in the Garhwal and Kumaun divisions of Uttarakhand, we visited numerous villages. Our aim was to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities and identify opportunities for improvement. Through these visits, we gained valuable insights and perspectives that have helped inform our work and drive our mission forward.

A well designed study tour was organized to understand the situation of Panchayati Raj OR local self-governance in the state of Uttarakhand.

Journey Begins
Empowering Rural Women: The Impact of Shramjan Swaraj Abhiyan

The study tour led to the launch of the "Shramjan Swaraj Abhiyan" People's Republic Campaign. After the tour, we worked to organize rural women into community-based organizations, resulting in the formation of 13 women self-help groups in Garhwal and Kumaun. These groups collectively formed the "Rachnatamak Mahila Manch" (Creative Women's Forum). The "Rachnatamak Mahila Manch" started selling their agricultural products under the brand "Shram-utpad" and celebrated the first "Salt Mahila Mahotsava" on October 15th in Rikwasi village.

Second study tour
A second study tour was organized from 21 to 26 January to understand the means of livelihood in the Salt Development Block of Uttarakhand State, “Praakritik dharohar bachao abhiyan” save natural heritage campaign was the outcome of the study tour! We fecilitate children to organised in “Rachnatamak baal manch” creative children forum. Training and Research Section was established in Shramyoga. Second “Salt Mahila Mahotsav” was organized by “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” in Matwas village on last Sunday of November.
2016
Shramjan Swaraj Abhiyan
On the request of the villagers of Nainidanda development block of Garhwal division of Uttarakhand state, a third study tour was organized from October 19 to 22 to understand the conditions of rural life in that area. After the study tour “Shramjan Swaraj Abhiyan” and “Praakritik dharohar bachao abhiyan” were started in the villages of Nainidanda Development Block The third “Salt Mahila Mahotsav” was organized by the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” in Bagidhar village on the last Sunday of November. In the “Mahila Mahotsav” , seeds were exchanged among different women self- help group.
2017
Baal mahotsawa
The first Salt “Baal mahotsawa” was organized by Creative Bal Manch on 5th Junen on the occasion of Environment Day at Government Inter College, Jhadgaon. The “Shram-bazaar” was established by the the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” with the slogan 'Fair price, quality goods'. “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” reached Delhi Haat with its agricultural products On the last Sunday of November, the 4th “Mahila mahotsawa” was organized by the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” in Thala village. It was the first time when the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” Garwal and Kumaoun exchanged local seeds to each other.
2018

The “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” organized a movement against alcohol.
The fourth study tour was organized to understand the conditions of rural life in the Chach-Kafalta area of ​​​​Salt development block.
Started an awareness campaign to strengthening local self-governance. the theme
of the campaign was Hamari Gram Sabha Hamara Raj.
The fifth mahila mahotsawa was organized in the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch”
Garhwal on the last Sunday of November .This year Salt Mahotsav was renamed as
Mahila Mahotsav.

2019
Rami Baurani Self Help Group started
In view of the wide possibilities and needs of water conservation in the area, the program of spring shed development was started. Fourth study tour was organized to understand the conditions of rural life in Jhimar- Rathkhal area of ​​Salt development block. First time the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” actively participate in Panchayat elections. The members of Rami Baurani Self Help Group started collective farming in Satkholu village of Nainidanda development block. “Shram Sakhis” were selected by the the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” to give more time to organization and facilitate activities in the villages. The 6th Women's Festival was organized by Creative Women's Forum in Jhipa.
2020
Rachnatamak Mahila manch
The “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” responded COVID, Including arranging equipment in local hospitals, health awareness among its members, rationing for economically weaker members. Increased vegetable production by adopting good agricultural practices with the collaboration with the Department of Agriculture Establishment of “Beej kosh” by the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch”. Since “Mahila mahotsawa” could not done its regular menner due to COVID indemic , it was organised in different villages by the “Rachnatamak Mahila manch’s ” members
2021
A new campaign Social capital development
The “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” Salt and Nainidanda's biennial elections were held. The “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” met with the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for people’s issues. The Creative Women's Forum was awarded with Kisan Shree Award by the Agriculture Department for its innovative experiments in farming. The 8th Women's Festival was organized in Jamaria village by Creative Women's Forum. A new campaign Social capital development was launched In Manthan 2021.
2022
Aao mil ke kare samvaad
The “Rachnatamak Mahila manch” was awarded by USARC for its unique contribution to the society. To strengthen local self-governance a programme “ aao mil ke kare samvaad” was started Research and development unit was started at Shramyog to make sure availability of vegetable seeds locally.
